Carolyn Sue Wright

Carolyn Sue Wright "Ankie" 59, entered into rest on Monday, June 12, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. A celebration of life service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church by her beloved bother-in-love, Pastor Charles Watkins and honorable coworker, Pastor Reggie Brackett. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The viewing will take place prior to the service at 12:00 noon in the church.

To know Sue was to love Sue. She enjoyed spending her time outside working in the yard, shopping, and being surrounded by those she cherished most, her family and friends. Although she never birthed any children, she was a Mother and earned the title of “Ankie” to which she dedicated her life to fulfill. Above all she loved her family and her nieces, nephews and her great-baby, Ryder, her pride and joy.

Not only did she care for her family, she was blessed to be loved and surrounded by her work family a Catawba Community Mental Health Center of whom she loved dearly.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her Mother, Susie Wright, sisters, Joyce (Charles) Watkins, and Blackie Hodge; her precious nieces and nephews, Shana (Leroy) Adams, Justin (Kim) Watkins, Cassidy Watkins, Ashley Lowery, Gage Watkins, along with her great-baby, Ryder Watkins, great nieces, Savannah and Keely Catoe. Sue was preceded by her father, Wade Thomas Wright.
