Carolyn Grace Griffin

Carolyn Grace McAbee Griffin, age 85, of Lancaster, S.C. passed away, Monday evening, October 7, 2024, at White Oak Manor, Lancaster, S.C. She was born, January 26, 1939, in Chester, S.C. to the late Alvin McAbee and Millerke Stroup McAbee. She was a homemaker. Carolyn loved the Lord and enjoyed reading her bible daily. She also enjoyed watching television. 

She is survived by 2 sons, Dennis Donahue and his wife, Kimmy of Murrells Inlet, S.C. and Douglas Donahue and his wife, Donna of Myrtle Beach, S.C., her daughter, Tonya Donahue Johnson and her husband, Dennis of Stedman, N.C.; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, George McAbee and his wife, Ann, William McAbee and Billy McAbee and her sister, Ruby Sellers all of Great Falls, S.C. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Roger Hensley of Rock Hill, S.C. and her brother-in-law, Bill Knopf of Great Falls, S.C. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Donahue Hensley; 2 sisters, Minnie Rigsby and Mary Knopf, her brother, BC McAbee and her brother-in-law, James Sellers.

A private family service will be held, and her cremated remains will be taken on a cruise and scattered at sea per her request.
