Funeral services for Carolyn Dease Estridge, 68, of Kershaw, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Buffalo Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. James Way and Donald Coppedge will officiate. Mrs. Estridge, widow of Paul Estridge died Friday, August 24, in Springdale Healthcare, Camden. Born in Rock Hill, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Coleman and Dorothy Pittman Dease. She was a teacher with the Early Childhood Development Program for Lancaster County and also served as ministerial assistant for Buffalo Baptist Church. She also loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Estridge was active member of Buffalo Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. Surviving are her daughter, Paula Estridge of Kershaw, her grandson, Alex Usher; 2 brothers, William Dease of Cassatt and Larry Dease (Connie) of Camden and a number of nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her special friends, Donnie and Barbara McManus. The family will receive friends, Saturday, August 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 7317 Estridge Avenue, Kershaw. In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be sent to Buffalo Baptist Church, 6390 Lockhart Rd., Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
