Brian William Taylor

A memorial service for Brian William Taylor, 42 of Kershaw will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2013, at Abney Baptist Church. The Revs. Todd Gandy and David Turner will officiate. Mr. Taylor died Wednesday, December 25, 2013. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Herman Willie Taylor and Arlene Broughton Brown. Mr. Taylor was a member of Abney Baptist Church, a 1989 graduate of North Central High School and he worked in the construction industry. He also liked working on old cars and all types of ball. Surviving are his father of Kershaw, his mother of Lancaster; 2 sons, Austin Taylor and Josh Thompson, both of Kershaw; his sister, Mitzi Taylor Catoe and her husband David of Kershaw; a half-brother, Justin Brown; a step-sister, Angie Brown both of Kershaw and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Willie Noah and Lessie Outen Taylor and his maternal grandparents, Francis David and Pauline Sims Broughton. He was also preceded in death by the mother of his youngest child, Tammy Whitley. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
