Brandon M. Johnson

A funeral service for Brandon Mitchell Johnson, 24 of Greenwood, SC and formerly of Andrews, SC will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2014, from the sanctuary of Sampit United Methodist Church, Georgetown, SC. Burial will follow in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery, Andrews, SC. Mr. Johnson died Sunday, October 19, 2014, at his home. Born in Georgetown, SC, he was the son of Barry Mitchell Johnson and Carolyn Theresa Howard Parsons. He was currently employed by Miss Ann’s Fried Chicken in Greenwood. He also loved to sing, writing and poetry. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Theresa Parsons and her husband Joey of Andrews, SC; his father and step-mother, Barry M. Johnson and his wife Maggie of Summerville; two sisters, Toni Casselman and Brandie Parsons both of Andrews; maternal grandmother, Vergie Howard of Georgetown; maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Jimmy Howard and his wife Carol of Georgetown, paternal grandfather, Ivan Johnson of Andrews; step grandmother, Maggie Lynn Ackerman; his fiancé, Chelsea Knight and her children, Nic and Allysa. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Johnson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the church.
