A graveside service for Bobby W. “Joby” Truesdale, 83 of Kershaw, SC will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2014, in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Joyner will officiate. Mr. Truesdale died Monday, December 29, 2014, at KershawHealth, Camden, SC. Born in Kershaw, SC, he was a son of the late Eldridge Hartsell and Mozelle Welch Truesdale. Mr. Truesdale was retired from Dupont Co. and was the owner/operator of Truesdale’s TV Service for 30 years. He was also a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church where he served as past Training Union Director and a deacon. Mr. Truesdale served our country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his six children, Gail Fralix of Kershaw, SC, Eddie Truesdale of Camden, SC, Charles Truesdale (Mary Alice) of Daniel Island, SC, David E. Truesdale of Camden, SC, Larry H. Truesdale (Susan) of Kershaw, SC, Lori Ann Faulkenbery (Donny) of Kershaw, SC; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Welch Horton; a half sister, Barbara Ann Truesdale, two half brothers, Hartsell Truesdale and Roger Truesdale all of Kershaw, SC; his step-mother, Lois Phillips Truesdale of Kershaw, SC. Also surviving are his second wife, Bonnie S. Truesdale of Kershaw, SC; a step-daughter, Teresa Cauthen of Lancaster, SC; four step grandchildren; and several step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Mae Vincent Truesdale; and two brothers, Steve Truesdale and Bilber Truesdale. Memorial contributions may be made to Sand Hill Baptist Church, 6895 Highway 341, Kershaw, SC 29067. The family is at the home of Larry and Susan Truesdale.
