Bobby Gene Denkins

Funeral services for Bobby Gene Denkins, 71, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in Kershaw Church of God. Burial will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church cemetery. Rev. Doug Martin will officiate.

Mr. Denkins died Sunday, March 8, 2009, in Springs Memorial Hospital. Born in Manila, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Avis Denkins and Beatrice Suratt Denkins Randall. He was a truck driver and a member of Kershaw Church of God.

Surviving are his wife; Nadine Nickless Denkins, four daughters; Lynette Hathon and her husband Terry, Catherine Denkins, Janet Brewer and her husband Paul all of Michigan and Nicole Helms and her husband Billy of Kershaw, three sons; Leslie Denkins and his wife Christy of Kershaw, Melvin Denkins and his wife Sandra of Monks Corner, Kevin Denkins and his wife Glenda of Kershaw, seventeen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three sisters; Vania Plamonbon of Michigan, Barbara Davis of Kershaw, Fredia Woolwine of Michigan, Lavada Cutcher of Kershaw, two brothers; Richard Denkins of Pageland and Howard Denkins of Kershaw. He was preceded in death by a son; Robert Denkins.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, March 10, 2009, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of his son, 535 Discovery Road, Kershaw.
