Funeral service for Betty Sue Payne Criminger, 76, will be held at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 20, in Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. The Revs. Jamie Rogers and Don Knight will officiate.
Mrs. Criminger died Monday, May 18, at her home. Born in the Flat Creek Community of Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt and Ruth Sims Payne. She retired from Springs Industries after 45 years of service. She was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mitch Lucas Sunday School Class. She enjoyed working with the pre-school and singing in the choir at the church , gardening and volunteering at K.A.R.E.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years ; Thomas J. Lum Criminger of the home, three children; Jerry Pete Criminger of Lugoff, Cindy Addison of Kershaw, and Rusty Criminger of Rock Hill, three brothers; Don Payne of Kershaw, Randy Payne of Myrtle Beach, Billy Holden of Camden, three grandchildren; Angela Addison of Kershaw, Andrew Addison of Atlanta, GA.,and Tony Criminger of Rock Hill, two great grandchildren; Addison Anthony and Zachary Addison. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Irene Holden of Camden, Polly Taylor of Lancaster, two brothers; Clayton and Jack Payne of Kershaw and a son-in-law; Reggie Addison of Kershaw.
The family will receive friends, Tuesday, May 19, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home.
