Betty Reeves Seegars

A graveside service for Betty Frances Reeves Seegars, 69, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 28, 2009, in Kershaw City Cemetery. The Rev. Jamie Rogers will officiate.

Born in the Flat Rock community of Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Willie Lee and Nell Gay Reeves. Ms. Seegars died Thursday, March 26, 2009, in the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, S.C. She was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mitch Lucas Sunday School Class. She enjoyed reading, traveling and antiquing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a member of the Dazzlin Dames Red Hat Group.

Surviving are two sons; Doug Seegars and his wife Beth of Lancaster, Jon K. Seegars of Kershaw and a daughter; Fran Dandridge of Monroe, N.C., four grandchildren; Jessica S. Hancock, Sarah Seegars, Laura Seegars and Shannon Dandridge and a great granddaughter; Lily Hancock and a brother; William Ronald Ronnie Reeves of Kershaw.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
