Funeral services for Betty Becky Parker Phillips, 77, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 30, 2011, in Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. The Revs. Hugh McKinney and Jamie Rogers will officiate.

Mrs. Phillips, widow of Carl Franklin Phillips died Thursday, January 27, in Morningside Assisted Living, Lancaster where she had been a resident for a month. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late William Glen Jr. and Hazel Davis Parker. Mrs. Phillips was retired twice, first from International Paper formerly Kendall Co., Bethune and second from S.C. DHEC, Camden. She was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church.

Surviving are a sister; Mary Kate P. Small of Kershaw, a brother; Billy Parker (Melody) of Spartanburg, sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Mozelle and John Lewis Byrd of Kershaw and a brother-in-law; Ben Ervin Phillips of Elgin, nephews; Glen Small, Lee Small, Will Parker, Marti Phillips, Glenn Phillips, David Phillips, Timmy Phillips, nieces; Gwen Byrd, Martha Pietkiewicz, Ellen Byrd, Marion Cook, Rebecca Berg, Mary Margaret Thomas, Lisa Edwards, Virginia McVickers, Patricia Jones and Janice Harmon. She was preceded in death by a sister; Joyce P. Fowler

The family will receive friends, Sunday, January 30, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service in the church Family Life Center.
