Betty Janelle Roberts Hunter

A funeral service for Betty Janelle Roberts Hunter, 75, of Kershaw will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2013, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. Gary Roberts and Donald Tillman will officiate. Mrs. Hunter, widow of David L. Hunter died Friday, January 18, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. Born in the Buffalo Community of Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late C.N. and Nannie Dorman Roberts. She retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Heath Springs Second Baptist Church. She served as church pianist, loved to shop and enjoyed dining out. Most importantly, she loved her Lord and her family. Surviving are 2 sons; Mike Hunter and Glenn Hunter and his wife Pam all of Kershaw, 4 grandchildren; Greg Hunter, Connie Copeland, Joshua Hunter and Lacey Lowery, 4 great grandchildren, a sister; Beverly R. Wilson of Lancaster and 2 brothers; Rev. Gary Roberts of Heath Springs and Rev. Bob Roberts of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Stoney N. Roberts, Steve E. Roberts and Charles Roberts. The family will receive friends, Sunday, January 20, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, 1704 Hollybrook Lane, Lancaster.
