A funeral service to celebrate the life of Bernice Baker Kelly, 85 of Camden will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday morning June 16, 2014 in the sanctuary of Malvern Hill Baptist Church. The Revs. Buster Morris and Donnie Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, Westville. Mrs. Kelly, widow of Willard Leslie Kelly passed away at her home, Friday morning, June 13, 2014. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Annie Boone Baker. She was a former Daycare Director for Malvern Hill Baptist Church. She was a member of Malvern Hill Baptist Church and a member of the Mustard Seeds Group at the church. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Surviving are 2 daughters, Shirley A. Kelly of Camden, Vicki L. Kelly of Asheville, NC; a son, Chuck G. Kelly of Aiken, SC; 3 grandchildren, Adam G. Kelly of Fayetteville, NC, Sherri A. Kelly of Aiken, SC, Ryan Mulinich of Aiken, SC; 3 great grandchildren, Brandon Kelly, Jordan Kelly and Keegan Mulinich, 1 great great granddaughter, Emma Kelly Mulderig and 2 sisters, Ella B. Dennis and Janie B. Barrett both of Kershaw. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, June 15, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton St., Kershaw and other times at the home, 1402 Malvern Hill Dr., Camden. Memorials in memory of Mrs. Kelly made be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or Kershaw Health Hospice, 124 Battleship Rd., Camden, SC 29020.
