Funeral services for Barbara E. “Bobbie” McCaskill, 77, of Kershaw will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012, in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home. The Revs. Jimmy Holley and Richard Anthony will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Bethune, S.C. Miss McCaskill died Monday, August 6, in KershawHealth, Camden. Born in Bethune, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Norman W. and Bernice Bradley McCaskill. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed shopping, watching game shows and being with her family. Surviving are 2 sisters, Doris M. Gardner of Kershaw, Carolyn Jean Redick of Summerville; 13 nieces and nephews, Hugh, Carolyn, Dwight, Kathy, Sandy, Donna, Denise, Susan, Eileen, Russell, Myra, Penny and Stephanie. Also surviving are a number of great nieces and nephews including Shawn, Jennifer and the loves of her life, Marty and Megan Faile. She was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Granger and 3 brothers, Ernest, Norman, Jr. and Tommy Neal McCaskill. The family will receive friends, 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of her sister, 504 South Minor Street, Kershaw.
