Barbara Cheryl Phillips

A funeral service for Barbara Cheryl Phillips, 57, of Kershaw, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, August 31, in the sanctuary of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Jefferson. The Rev. Terry Corder will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Cheryl died Monday, August 28, at KershawHealth, Camden. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of Pauline Eubanks Mangum and the late William Neil Mangum. She was a graduate of Mt. Pisgah High School and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her mother of Kershaw are her daughter, Lynn Bowers of Bethune; her son, Nathan Deese of Kershaw; 4 grandchildren, Natalie Deese of Kershaw and Calissa Bowers, Colin Bowers and Camry Bowers all of Bethune. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Andrew Deese, her sister, Sheila Gail Sansbury and a brother, Audie Mangum.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, August 30, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter.
