Arthur Ernest Pardue

A service to celebrate the life of Arthur Ernest Pardue, 85, of Heath Springs, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Wednesday, September 27, in the sanctuary of Oak Ridge A.R. P. Church, Heath Springs with Military Honors. The Revs. Glenn Welsford and Wayne Dickson will officiate.

Mr. Pardue passed away, Monday, September 25, in Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of the late Earl Franklin, Sr. and Juanita Catoe Pardue. Mr. Pardue was self-employed and a faithful member of Oak Ridge A.R.P. Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and attending ballgames. Mr. Pardue also loved to farm and the outdoors. Mr. Pardue served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. He was a corpsman on the USS Hector.

Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Joan Brazell Pardue of the home, a daughter, Debbie Truesdale and her husband Vic of Heath Springs; a son, Ernest Ray Pardue and his wife Sue of Spartanburg; 2 grandsons, Joe McIsaac and his wife Nikki of Catawba, Justin Pardue of Spartanburg; 2 great grandchildren, Knox and Josie McIsaac; 2 brothers, Ralph Pardue and his wife Toni of Heath Springs, Davis Pardue and his wife Carolyn of Lancaster and his sister-in-law, Jean Pardue of Kershaw. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by 2 brothers, Jackie Pardue, Earl F. Pardue, Jr. and his sister, Mamie P. Floyd.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church Family Life Center and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Ridge A.R.P. Church, 2774 McIlwain Rd., Heath Springs, SC 29058.
