Annie Loutee P. Catoe

Funeral services for Annie Loutee Phillips Catoe, 78, of Kershaw will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Midway Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. Todd Gandy and Randall Runion will officiate.

Mrs. Catoe widow of O.C. Catoe died Thursday, June 9, in Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster, Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Orie and Sue Lee Broome Phillips. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church where she served as a longtime Sunday School Teacher and enjoyed visiting shut-ins always offering a smile and encouragement. She was retired from Grace Bleachery, a member of Flat Creek Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and loved to garden. Mrs. Catoe was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Surviving are a daughter; Dr. Rebecca C. Vincent and a son; Scott Catoe and his wife Pam all of Kershaw, 6 grandchildren; Crystal Baker of Kershaw, Nick Vincent of Jackson, MI, Neal Vincent (Rebecca) of Florence, Randy Vincent of Sunset and his fiance Christin Kirkpatrick, Laura West of Charlotte , Justin West of Kershaw and 5 great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Mary Lee Catoe and Pam Melton both of Kershaw, 5 brothers; Frank (Marion) Phillips, Fred (Ruth) Phillips, Ferris (Nancy) Phillips Larry Phillips all of Kershaw and Ernest (Peggy) Phillips of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a brother; PFC Wylie Phillips.

The family will receive friends, Friday, June 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 3816 Meadowview Drive, Kershaw.
