A funeral service for Nancy Ann Faile Young, 84, of Kershaw, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 22, at Baker Conference Center, 105 N. Minor St., Kershaw. The Revs. Bryant D. Fersner and Craigan Blankenship will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
Mrs. Young, loving wife of A.C. “Slim” Young, Jr., passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 19, at her home, surrounded by her family. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late L.A. and Patsy Hinson Faile and the step-daughter of the late Eva Mae Faile. She retired from Springs Industries after 40 years of service. Mrs. Young was a dedicated and faithful member of First Baptist Church her entire life. She loved her church and her church family. She was very active with the Trucking Ministry at the church and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are 2 sons, Arthur Frank Young, Jimmy W. (Gwen) Young; a granddaughter, Tiffany M. (Chad) Williams; 2 great grandchildren, Savannah and Jackson Williams all of Kershaw; her brother, Jerry (Pat) Faile of Lugoff and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Pauline Neely and Frances F. Davis and 3 brothers, Toy Faile, William “Bill” Faile and Hazel Faile.
The family will receive friends, Friday, July 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 313 W. Stevens Dr., Kershaw.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Young may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
