Angie Carol Owens

Angie Carol Catoe Owens, age 81, of Heath Springs, S.C. and formerly of Columbia, S.C. passed away, Monday morning, February 10, 2025, at her home. Born in the Buffalo community of Kershaw County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Leroy Catoe and Thelma Seegars Catoe. Carol was a claims auditor for 35 years for Blue Cross and Blue Shield and an office manager for a medical office for several years. She was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church. Carol was an avid golfer and a diehard Carolina Gamecocks fan. She loved traveling, the beach and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Angela Owens Raley; her granddaughter, Keri Beard Smith and her husband, Dakota; a great grandson, Riley Smith and a great granddaughter, Adelaide Smith all of Heath Springs, S.C. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Sharon Owens of Columbia, S.C. and 2 sisters-in-law, Ada Smith of Kershaw, S.C. and Shirley Lucas of North Augusta, S.C.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Owens, her son, John Derrick Owens and her brother, Ronnie Leroy Catoe.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw, S. C.

The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Jeremy Ussery will officiate.
