Almetta Langley Horton

Funeral services for Almetta Langley Horton, 92, will be held at 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 18, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Horton died Saturday, May 15, in Kershaw Health, Camden. Born in Bethune, she was the daughter of the late William Manuel and Ada Taylor Langley. She was retired from Springs Industries and a member of Shamrock Baptist Church. Mrs. Horton was married to the late Edward Jason Jake Horton.

Surviving are two daughters; Ada Bell Stroud, Diane H. Gainey both of Cassatt, two sons; Jerry Lee Horton of Bishopville, Minor Larry Horton of McBee, a half sister; Ola Hayes of Hartsville, 20 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren and 31 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons; E.J. and Ernest Horton, a granddaughter; Minnie Horton, 2 grandsons; Larry Horton and Matthew Gainey and a great granddaughter; Kayla Price.

Mrs. Horton's body will be taken home, Monday, May 17, at noon. Friends may call at the home, 2421 Porter Road, Cassatt.
