Addie Gardner Hegler

Graveside funeral services for Addie Gardner Hegler will be held Thursday, October 27, at 2:00 p.m. in Fork Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. Lynn Gardner and Doug Humphries will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, 810 Maxwell Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646, or White Bluff Baptist Church, 3473 Mining Road, Kershaw, SC 29067. Mrs. Hegler, widow of Joseph P. “Pop” Hegler, died Monday, October 24, 2011. Born in the Buffalo community, she was the daughter of the late John S. and Katie Johnson Gardner. Mrs. Hegler was a member of White Bluff Baptist Church and the Eastern Star- Lancaster Chapter. Surviving are a son, John Phillip Hegler and his wife, Jo Ellen of Heath Springs; granddaughter, Carrie Ellen Hegler Williams and her husband, Greg of Kershaw; brother, George P. Gardner of Kershaw. She was predeceased by brothers, Harry, Thurman, Miles, and Melvin Gardner and sisters, Bertha Pittman, Eva Threatt, and Marie Roberts
