A funeral service for Johnny Lee Taylor, 52 of Kershaw, SC, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Abney Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Cotton Pate and Rev. Larry Zanger will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Taylor died Wednesday, January 6, at his home. Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of the late Coleman Lee, Jr. and Margie T. Taylor. He was a former heavy equipment operator. Mr. Taylor was a NASCAR fan and at one time owned his own race car. He also enjoyed the outdoors, riding his motorcycle and building things with his hands.

Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Wanda Morris Taylor of the home; 5 sons, Donald Lee Taylor of Camden, Matthew D. (Ashley) Taylor of Kershaw, Paul Price of Lugoff, Adam (Heather) Wilson of Camden and D.J. Lyles of Kershaw; 13 grandchildren, Kayden, Kylar, Skylar, Hailey, Lexi, Cami, Cali, Courtney, Blake, Madison, Jase, Trey and Gavin, and a sister, Janice T. (Sam) Hannah of Kershaw. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Lee Taylor.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m., at the church, Sunday, January 10, 2016.
