Elaine W. Plyler

Nannie Elaine Waters Plyler, age 76, of Lancaster, S.C., passed away, Sunday evening, May 21, 2023, at her home. Born in Camden, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Lafayette M. Waters, Jr., and Nannie Stroud Waters. Mrs. Plyler was a former church receptionist. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Lancaster and a former member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, Lancaster. She loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Aaron Wheeler Plyler, her daughter, Charlene Renee Starnes and her husband, Brandon; 2 grandchildren, Cory Michael Rowell, and Haleigh Alexis Rowell (Andrew) and a great granddaughter, Briar Kori Chapman. She is also survived by her former son-in-law, Eric Kelly Rowell.

The family will receive friends, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday morning, May 24, 2023, in Kershaw City Cemetery, 190 Kirkland Ave., Kershaw, S.C. Rev. Jack Nunn will officiate. The burial will immediately follow in the cemetery.

Memorial remembrances in memory of Mrs. Plyler may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation Carolinas Chapter, Attention: Donor Services, 200 SE 1st Street – Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
